TMJ / TMD Treatment
The biggest advantage for this option is the initial fee - $0.
The biggest disadvantage for this option is the eventual fee:
Root Canal Treatments
The trauma of constant clenching and grinding, results in cracking of the teeth and tooth wear. This often causes the nerves in the teeth to die. It is not uncommon to see someone with no fillings in their teeth, needing 6 Root Canal Treatments, due to their non-ideal bite.
Tooth replacement
Teeth weakened by wear and cracks are prone to fracture. As enamel near the gum - chips away - from clenching and grinding, the tooth is also significantly weakened. As the stresses are caused so intensely and so frequently, the tooth can sometimes fracture, in such a way, that the tooth cannot be saved.
