In-Chair Entertainment lands in Australia
With the metal devices used to poke around in your mouth, your thoughts can easily run away with you. It is easily to dwell on the treatment at hand when you should have something else distracting you.
Now, the dentist has become a more entertaining place. As you recline for your treatment, you realise it is no longer a white knuckle experience. Patients can now watch DVDs and video during their treatment with a screen that it attached to the ceiling above the dentist chair.
In the US, this is common but it is still a new feature to dental practices in Australia. The DVDs can be taken from a selection already in-house or can be brought to the practice by the patient. There are other some genres that are not recommended, a horror that makes you jump out of your seat is not the best choice to make. Even your favourite comedy may cause a few problems if you crease up laughing.
However, from the number of DVDs now available in Australia, over 9,000 and counting, there should be one that you can watch while you are going though your procedure.
If you think sounds like it would be a good idea, you’d be right. Nielsen Media Research in the US conducting a study showing that 82% of patients said they'd use In Chair Entertainment again and 87% said they'd tell family and friends about it.
