"There are only a few medical and dental conditions that cause bad breath. The main cause is sulphur compounds made by bacteria in breaking down food. These smell putrid and cause halitosis, commonly known as bad breath. At Designer Dental Studio we can determine what the issue if after a short examination."

Two out of three Australians have bad breath and most don't know it - Dentist in Brisbane can help.

The shocking truth is that every day thousands of people are wrecking their chances of success, romance or friendship by unknowingly breathing the life out of a relationship through bad breath. At Designer Dental Studio, we are committed to ensuring no client leaves us with bad breath.

What causes bad breath?
There are only a few medical and dental conditions that cause bad breath. The main cause is sulphur compounds made by bacteria in breaking down food. These smell putrid and cause halitosis, commonly known as bad breath. At Designer Dental Studio we can determine what the issue if after a short examination.

Who has bad breath?
According to the latest statistics, only a third of the population are known as “Breath Brilliants”. They rarely ever have to worry about their breath.

Approximately a third are the complete opposite. They are “Breath Bandits”. They have a persistent offensive breath condition and experience bad breath for up to 24 hours a day, including food odours, taste disorders, dry mouth and ‘morning breath.'

The remaining third are “Breath Borderliners”. Their breath seems fresh most of the day but can easily reach ‘bandit' levels if they eat certain common foods (dairy, alcohol, sugars), or take medications. They always have ‘morning breath' when they wake up.

Unfortunately, there is no easy way to determine yourself if you have bad breath. You can ask you partner but if they live with you, they may be used to it. You can ask a close friend but are they really going to tell you the truth? You can lick the back of your hand and check the odour but would you even recognise the warning signs?
